Soothing Pomade for Atopic-prone Skin

Phase Ingredients Dosage % Total 60 gr
A Shea butter unrefined 60 36 gr
A Andiroba oil 15 9 gr
B St. John's Wort oil 25 15 gr

1. Melt gently the phase A in a beaker.

2. Take out of the water bath, pour into a bowl and put it in the freezer until it starts to firm up a bit.

3. Add phase B to phase A and stir well. Optionally, you can whip it up with a mini-whisk.

4. Transfer the preparation into a jar.

A wonderful comfort provider for irritated skin suffering from eczema and psoriasis, with soothing, restorative and softening properties.

Apply this pomade to the affected areas to calm irritations and help regenerate the skin.

Hello Adriana, This ointment may benefit the skin affected by seborrheic dermatitis, however, we do not recommend applying it to the face. Have a sunny day!

Hello Ileana, Allantoin is a water-soluble ingredient. It cannot be included in oily recipes.

Hello! I prepared this recipe, St. John's wort oil has a pungent odor, like vinegar, therefore I added lavender essential oil!

Hello Joan, St. John's wort oil is a key ingredient in this soothing ointment, especially for skin affected by exema, psoriasis. Oils with somewhat similar properties include: andiroba, arnica, acai, tamanu, and saw palmetto. Note that substituting oils may affect the final color of the ointment.
