Vetiver & Spirulina Soap
Formula: 758 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: min 12 months

Phase Ingredients Total 50 gr
A M&P soap base White 49,5 gr
A Spirulina powder 0,3 gr (a pinch)
B Peppermint essential oil 15 drops
B Vetiver essential oil 5 drops

1. Dice the soap base and melt it in a water bath with the rest of the ingredients from phase A, mix well.

2. Add the ingredients of phase B and mix.

3. Pour the mixture into the prepared mould and leave to harden on a flat surface. After approx. 4 hours remove the soap from the mould and leave to dry until the next day. The prepared soap can then be used.

If the environment in which the soap is stored has higher humidity, dew and a gelatinous layer may appear on the surface of the soap. This is normal for natural melt & pour soaps. To avoid this phenomenon, it is advisable to wrap the soap in food wrap or store it in a sealable container.

Hi Cora, You can add 1% butter, proportionally decreasing the amount of soap base. Good luck!

If I add butter to the soap base, do I decrease the essential oils? 1 gram = 20 drops?

Won't it mold in the melt and pour spirulina powder soap? I keep reading that you can't put plants in, even powders.

Hello! Sure, but add a larger amount as it doesn't have as intense a scent as vetiver.

Hello. How do you use coconut tenside in these soaps? I put it in before pouring the soap into the mold, but there were lumps left that I couldn't completely break up.

You can choose according to preference, even substituting peppermint essential oil. Suggestions: petitgrain, salvia scalrea, lemongrass, lemongrass, lime, mandarin, basil, bergamot.

Hello, can another essential oil be used instead of vetiver essential oil? Can clear soap base be used instead of white? I guess it will only affect the color. Thanks!
