Marigold & Ylang-Ylang Soap
Formula: 744 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: min 12 months

Phase Ingredients Total 120 gr
A M&P soap base White 115 gr
A Marigold CO2 extract 0,4 gr
B Ylang-Ylang essential oil 1,8 gr
B Pine essential oil 0,8 gr
B Dried marigold flowers 2 gr

1. Dice the soap base and melt it in a water bath with the rest of the ingredients from phase A, mix well.

2. Add the ingredients of phase B and mix.

3. Pour the mixture into the prepared mould and leave to harden on a flat surface. After approx. 4 hours remove the soap from the mould and leave to dry until the next day. The prepared soap can then be used.

If the environment in which the soap is stored has higher humidity, dew and a gelatinous layer may appear on the surface of the soap. This is normal for natural melt & pour soaps. To avoid this phenomenon, it is advisable to wrap the soap in food wrap or store it in a sealable container.

Hello Maria, The best colorant is the natural one, i.e. urucum powder, turmeric, spirulina, roiba, alkanet etc.... In addition to these natural options we can recommend our liquid dyes, available in four colors or their combination. Good luck!

Hello! You can touch it up. If the color comes out, you have used too much dye. The video on the soap base sheet on the website may help.

Hello! This is my first time making household soaps! I miscalculated the amount of water to put in when melting the soap base, and now when I want to use it I noticed that it is soft and the color comes out when in contact with the water jet. Can I just touch it up and top up with soap base? Or what else can i do? Thanks!

Hello! If pigment or colorant is added to the soap in the amount recommended in the recipe, the soap will not color the skin.

Hello, by using cosmetic pigment, or any form of coloring, there is no risk that the soap will color our skin when we use it? Thanks

Hello! You can also prepare the soap without essential oils, or possibly with red mandarin or orange oil. No adjustments are necessary.

Hello, Pine essential oil could be replaced with what? For a 1 year old baby, can it be used if I take out the essential oils and leave just the soap base and marigold oil? Do the dosages need to be adjusted? Thanks

Hello! Yes, you can use melt&pour baby soap with marigold oil, mild essential oils (lavender, mandarin, orange, etc) and any of the aromatic extracts. The soap with poppy and pollen can also be used for children, you can supplement the recipe with about 5g of butter. Good luck!

Good evening! I understood that I could use melt&pour baby soap with marigold oil and orange essence or aromatic extracts. Also, is poppy and pollen soap good for children? In it can I also add shea or mango butter? Thank you very much.

You can add chamomile extract, up to 0,4 gr and keep in mind that without essential oils the soap will not be scented.

Instead of the essential oils, can we use chamomile CO2 extract for its properties? Thanks in advance!

Before pouring into the mold, wait for it to start solidifying and stir often so it can homogenize well.

Good evening! I started from this recipe and tried with 2% marigold oil (not 4% as in the recipe) in the white m&p base but I was not able to incorporate it all ...more precisely when pouring it rose to the surface. Where do you think I went wrong? Thank you very much!
