M&P Lavender fields soap
Formula: 815122 Difficulty level: beginner Shelf life: min 12 months

Phase Ingredients Total 125 gr
A M&P soap base White 120 gr
B Cosmetic pigment oxide 10 Pink 0,7 gr
B Cosmetic pigment oxide 15 Blue 0,1 gr
B Lavender essential oil 2 gr
B Ylang-Ylang essential oil 0,5 gr
C Dried lavender flowers 1-2 gr

1. Dice the soap base and melt it in a water bath with the rest of the ingredients from phase A, mix well.

2. Add the ingredients of phase B mixed beforehand, and homogenise. Add phase C as desired.

3. Pour the mixture into the prepared mould and leave to set on a flat surface. After approx. 4 hours remove the soap from the mould and leave to dry until the next day. The prepared soap can then be used.

If the environment in which the soap is stored has higher humidity, dew and a gelatinous layer may appear on the surface of the soap. This is normal for natural melt & pour soaps. To avoid this phenomenon, it is advisable to wrap the soap in food wrap or store it in a sealable container.

Hello! Try mixing the pigments beforehand with the essential oils in the recipe or with a little glycerine, forming a paste as homogeneous as possible. We hope we were able to help!

Hello! I have a problem in making this soap. The pigments do not melt completely. They remain small grains no matter how much I mix them in the soap, I also tried to add them at once with the soap base in the water bath to stay longer in the heat , but to no avail , I had the same result which is not exactly aesthetic. What could I do? Thank you in advance for your answer!

Hello Ana-Maria, We have specified the information in the soap base sheet on the website, but in order not to be omitted, we will also pass it on to each soap recipe. What you are noticing is a natural phenomenon that occurs with all natural melt&pour soaps. If the environment in which the soap is stored has medium or high humidity, dew may appear on the surface of the soap and a gel-like layer may form. To avoid this, wrap the soap in foil or store it in a sealable container. When preparing a recipe, once the soap has been removed from the mold/pot, it should be stored in a dry place and if it is not to be used for the next period, then it should be wrapped in cling film.

Hello! After taking the soaps out of the mold I stored them in the closet, in the morning they were sweaty and had a relatively soft coating. Can you tell me why and where I could store them? I live in an apartment. Thanks!

Good evening Costina, 1 gr of low viscosity and fluid essential oil, such as lavender essential oil, is approx. 33 drops.

Hi Elena, If that dye is water soluble and stable in alkaline environments then yes, you can use it.

Hi Vera, You can consider the marigold soap recipe or the lily soap recipe, in both of which you can omit the addition of pigments and essential oils if you want to use a neutral soap. Note that no matter how well formulated a soap is, it will be alkaline and therefore dry the skin to some extent. You can also consider making a soap-free soap, which is tenside-based and does not dry out the skin. Except in cases where sterilization of the child's environment is necessary, as expressly indicated by the doctor, a little natural dirt that is natural to get into the toddler's body, and which may even help to strengthen the immune system, is preferable to the various substances that are present in no-rinse solutions.

Hi, please tell me from all the soap recipes presented, which is the one from which I get the most emollient soap? I have cracked, dry hands, I also use some hand solution based on hand soap to clean my hands as I have a small baby. And one more question, do you have any natural solution to clean baby's hand with, baby friendly, without wiping? He's permanently with his hands in his mouth. Thank you!

Hello, This 10% refers to the total amount of fluid ingredients that we can add in M&P soap bases. If this percentage is exceeded, the soap will be too soft.

Good evening. I still have a question :) You say that the fluids should not exceed 10% (i.e. 10 gr fluids per 100 gr soap base). 10% includes both oils and possible additions of milk, say, or glycerin, or honey?! Or to 100 gr of soap base can I add both 10 gr fluids and 5 gr oils?! Thank you very much!

Sma, Soaps are by definition alkaline and for many people after using soap - however good the formula - the skin begs for a cream/oil. You can add olive oil to the base, see the directions on the sheet for dosage. Sea buckthorn oil (our version, made from seeds) might be wasted in a soap, as would melissa essential oil, which if genuine is twice as expensive as damask rose essential oil; these are better used in a preparation that doesn't rinse off the skin. For children it's generally better to use a shower gel, soap is great for washing hands for example or occasional body hygiene. Thanks for your appreciation, we are happy to help! Have a nice day!

Hello.I'm a beginner,I received the package and got to work.I'm already addicted to this site.I have prepared lavender soap, lotion against insects and a beneficial mixture for psoriasis.I have moose and will continue.I tried the soap on hands and body,I noticed immediately that the skin needs an oil.

Elemental, so, in total, not to exceed 10%? or fluids 10%, dry additions 5-7%?

kimera, Fluid additions would be best not to exceed 10% in total, powders, dried or granulated flowers/leaves for gumming are not required in excess of 5-7%. If adding more than 4-5% oil/un, beeswax may be needed to ensure soap consistency.
