szidi, Frangipani is another flower namely Plumeria acutifolia, Monoi Tiare oil contains the flower Gardenia tahitensis. Many people confuse the two flowers, Frangipani is yellow in the middle and has 5 symmetrical petals. We have the natural fragrance Flori de Tiaré which is exactly the fragrance used for the Monoi oil.

Hello, I would like to ask if frangipani is the same flower as monoi tiare (or am I confusing them maybe).... And if it is similar in smell to the Monoi oil that you have in your offer. I would like to create an acrid perfume to have the same odor.

Flowers, In the article on perfumes we have tried to give as many hints as possible for the success of a home perfume. Essential oils give a more or less persistent scent, it is good to choose them according to the indicative table for the notes of the perfume. The base notes (background) persist the longest, and this is where vanilla comes in, but we have to admit that natural vanilla is nowhere near as intense as synthetic vanillin. In few cases is it possible to compose a perfume that meets expectations right the first time. You have indeed used too many essences, but you can still formulate perfumes from them; try the oily version and make a small volume each, combining fewer essences. Leave any perfume composition to mature for at least a week before using.

Good evening. I tried a proprietary blend for a solid perfume where I went for a ratio of about 20% essences (the highest ratio of base essences is vanilla 25%) but although it is quite strong initially, it doesn't last more than max 2 hours. Not to mention that if it comes in contact with clothes, it disappears even faster :). Is there any secret to increase the time it persists on the skin? I only used mango butter and soy wax in the composition. As for the essential oils, I have to admit that I used a bit too many in combination (9) and maybe being too many and in very small quantities, the flavor given by each one wears off quickly. Any suggestion is welcome. Thank you.

grigoras gabriela, What do you want to replace them with? You can make any combination of essences, depending on your preferences.

Gabriela, If you add a higher volume of essences then you should omit the almond oil from the recipe and increase the volume of wax to obtain a solid composition.

Gabriela, you can use it; mango butter has a slightly harder texture.

I come back with another question: you say that to create an absolute we use 70% base, consisting of wax and mango. So for 20 ml, for example, we use 7 wax, 7 mango? Does the almond oil no longer intervene in the recipe? Thank you

Could I use shea instead of mango?
