Hello Adriana, Although the consistency of the proposed butters is more solid than Babassu oil, the proposed substitutions can be made. We recommend murumuru butter so as not to affect the consistency of the shaving soap too much.

Hello! Can I replace Organic Babassu Oil with Murumuru Butter or unrefined Cocoa Butter? Or is Babassu the most suitable for this recipe? Thank you!

Hello, I prepared this shaving soap according to the recipe. My husband is thrilled, it lathers well and softens the beard f. well. The recipe has few and good quality ingredients, I don't see why others should be substituted.

Coconut surfactant can possibly replace scs surfactant, but I have not tested it in practice.

Let me know if instead of solid tenside, you can use coconut tenside, foaming or simple washing base. Thanks

Hello Cristina! You can add 1% allantoin in phase B and 3% lanolin in phase A. Remove the babassu oil and there is no need for a substitute oil given the above recommended additions.

Coconut oil, for example. Information on the oxidative sensitivity of vegetable oils can be found in the vegetable oil data sheet in the Storage/Safety Data section (blue box).
