Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate (Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate)

Polyglyceryl-10 Laurate is a mild, non-ionic surfactant and solubilizer derived from polyglycerin and lauric acid, widely used in cosmetic formulations to disperse oils and fragrance into water-based systems and to support stable oil-in-water emulsions. It helps improve clarity or controlled microemulsion formation, enhances wetting and spreadability, and contributes to a soft, non-stripping rinse feel—making it well suited for sensitive-skin and “PEG-free” concepts. In cleanser systems, it can act as a co-surfactant to refine foam, reduce harshness, and improve overall sensory elegance, while in leave-on products it supports lightweight textures and uniform delivery of lipophilic ingredients. Typical applications include micellar waters, cleansing oils-to-milks, facial cleansers, toner-like mists, makeup removers, emulsified serums, and scalp or hair products where mild solubilization and refined feel are desired. Use level and performance are formulation-dependent and typically optimized according to oil load, desired clarity, and compatibility with pH, electrolytes, and the broader surfactant/emulsifier package.
