Parfum (natural), commonly referred to as natural fragrance, is a blend of aromatic compounds derived exclusively from natural sources such as essential oils, botanical extracts, resins, and plant-based distillates. In cosmetic formulations, it is used to impart a pleasant scent and enhance the sensory experience without the use of synthetic fragrance molecules. Although considered a more natural alternative, it may still contain allergenic components naturally present in essential oils, meaning individuals sensitive to fragrances may react to it. For this reason, natural fragrances must comply with regulatory labeling requirements when certain allergens exceed specified concentrations.
