Eugenia Caryophyllus Flower Oil (Clove Bud Oil)
Eugenia Caryophyllus Flower Oil is a highly aromatic essential oil, typically obtained by steam distillation of the dried flower buds of the clove tree (Syzygium aromaticum). In cosmetic formulations, it is used mainly as a perfuming ingredient to deliver a warm, spicy note, and it is also valued in botanical blends for its purifying, deodorizing and antioxidant-supportive properties, largely associated with its naturally high eugenol content. It is most commonly incorporated at very low concentrations in soaps, cleansers, deodorants, oral-care style products, scalp treatments, massage blends, and warming body-care concepts. Due to its potency and potential for irritation or sensitization—particularly in leave-on applications and on sensitive skin—Eugenia Caryophyllus Flower Oil is typically formulated in accordance with applicable IFRA guidance and used with care in modern formulations.
