Bakuchiol
Description
Bakuchiol – Natural, More Tolerable Alternative to Retinol
Bakuchiol is a compound isolated and purified from the seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant, used as a plant-derived alternative to retinol, offering benefits for all skin types.
Although structurally dissimilar to the retinoid class, studies show that bakuchiol targets similar cellular pathways in fibroblasts, stimulating collagen synthesis and accelerating epidermal renewal. It offers a superior skin tolerance profile, free from the side effects typical of synthetic retinoids, such as irritation, pronounced dryness, or skin sensitization.
Ingredients (INCI): Bakuchiol.
