Sage Water Organic
Description
Sage Water Organic (Salvia officinalis) is obtained from the Mediterranean aromatic plant with a fairly complex biochemical profile. The scent is camphorous, resinous, and characteristic. It is a hydrosol with character, yet gentle on the skin, used in applications where sage essential oil is contraindicated or restricted.
On the face, its action is purifying and rebalancing for sebaceous secretions, indicated for oily, combination, or mature skin lacking vitality. On the body, it is an optimal ingredient in natural deodorant products and hygiene formulas. For the hair, it is valued as a revitalizer, hair purifier, and moisturizer.

Usage & Synergies
Face care
Sage Water is indicated for oily, combination skin or skin with a seborrheic tendency, and for dull skin lacking vitality. Its purifying and rebalancing action makes it an effective toner, especially in the morning routine or during periods of sebaceous imbalance. It is not recommended as a primary choice for sensitive or reactive skin.
Practical recommendations
- Rebalancing toner: Spray onto the face after cleansing and gently pat in. Particularly suitable in the morning for oily skin or during periods when the skin tends to shine excessively.
- Purifying mask: Mix with Green Clay until a fine texture is obtained and apply for 10 minutes to areas with excess sebum. The combination is astringent and purifying, suitable for oily skin or skin with dilated pores.
Synergies in face care
For sebum control and a prolonged matte appearance of oily skin, it combines efficiently with Marine-Z, Niacinamide, and Marine-Mat. For mature skin with oxidative stress and lacking radiance, the synergy with Evening Primrose Oil, Green Tea Extract, and Argan Oil brings regeneration, anti-oxidation, and balanced nourishment.
Body care
Body applications of sage water are clear and specific: it is a valuable ingredient in natural deodorants and in refreshing hygiene formulas.
Practical recommendations
- Natural deodorant spray: Spray onto the underarm area in the morning after showering. It can be used alone or combined with dissolved Alum powder for an amplified and long-lasting effect.
- Refreshing body spray: Spray onto the calves, arms, or neck during the day for a feeling of freshness and cleanliness. Particularly suitable during the warm season or after physical effort.
Synergies in body care
For a long-lasting natural deodorant, the combination with Alum powder, Palmarosa Essential Oil, and Lemonester covers all sweat odor control mechanisms. For a refreshing body cream designed for rough or devitalized skin, the synergy with Coffee Butter, Sesame Oil, and Red Vine Extract is energizing and toning.
Hair care
Sage water is useful for scalp care and hair hygiene, especially for hair that becomes greasy quickly. Its astringent action also makes it helpful for an oily scalp. Some sources state that it can darken hair color, therefore it is recommended to avoid repeated use on blonde or light-colored hair.
Practical recommendations
- Lotion for oily scalp: Spray directly onto the scalp, massage gently, and leave in without rinsing. It contributes to rebalancing sebum production and extending the sensation of a clean scalp.
Synergies in hair care
For a rebalancing shampoo for an oily scalp, it combines well with Decalact, Rosemary Essential Oil, and Marine-Z. As a leave-in lotion for shine and volumization of dark hair, the synergy with Capilong Hair Stem and Vege-Keratin strengthens the strand, smooths, and adds visual depth.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is sage water safe, given that the essential oil is quite restricted?
Sage officinalis essential oil contains thujone in a high concentration, which justifies its usage precautions. The hydrosol, obtained during the same distillation process, contains other aromatic molecules and at much lower concentrations.
Does it contain alcohol?
Our product is 100% pure distillate, with no added alcohol or preservatives.
Does it work for any hair color?
The specific enhancing effect of sage manifests itself particularly on natural dark shades. On blonde or light-dyed hair, there is no specific shine benefit and while there is no risk of altering the color, the expected aesthetic effect will not be achieved either.
Safety in use
Floral waters are renowned for their excellent skin tolerance. Allergic reactions are extremely rare. However, as with any natural product that may naturally contain traces of substances considered allergens, hypersensitive individuals should perform a tolerance test (patch test) in the bend of the elbow 24 hours before use. Cosmetic product exclusively for external use.
Storage, preservation
Natural floral waters, which contain no alcohol or preservatives, are sensitive to contamination. Keep the bottle tightly closed, in a cool place away from light. We recommend storing it in the refrigerator, especially during the summer, to maintain its freshness.
