Lotion Base Organic – Pre-made Emulsion for Skin Care
Lotion Base Organic is a ready-to-use emulsion (O/W type), formulated with plant-derived ingredients and certified organic. Enriched with moisturizing and nourishing ingredients, it is a natural, unfragranced cream base that only requires the addition of essential oils or active ingredients to formulate a lightweight, customized skin care or aromatherapy cream.
It is used for the rapid preparation of personalized face and body creams. Its composition allows for the incorporation of water-soluble and oil-soluble active ingredients, additional oils, fragrances, and essential oils without requiring traditional hot-process emulsification steps or complex laboratory equipment.

Formulation and Customization Guide
Incorporating additional ingredients into the lotion base must be carried out while respecting the stability limits of the emulsion:
- Procedure: The base does not require heating. Addition of active ingredients, essential oils, or fragrances is done at room temperature. Introduce ingredients gradually under slow, continuous stirring with a spatula until the mixture is completely homogenized. Aqueous and oily ingredients, powders, granules, and pigments can all be added.
- Addition limits: Ingredients can generally be added in a total dosage of 1-5%, and in some cases up to 10%; the optimal percentage depends on the type and solubility of the ingredients. To prevent liquefaction of the emulsion, do not add more than 2% - 3% vegetable oils. An excessive amount of additives can lead to phase separation and weakening of the preservative system.

Is it still necessary to add a preservative if I introduce ingredients into the base?
The preservative system in the base is robust enough to protect the final product with an addition of up to 10% supplementary ingredients.
Why did the cream liquefy or separate after I added ingredients?
A decrease in viscosity or phase separation occurs due to destabilization of the emulsion. This phenomenon happens either when the maximum lipid loading capacity has been exceeded or when active ingredients with high ionic strength (electrolytes or concentrated salts) have been introduced. Testing additive compatibility on small test batches is recommended.
Safety in Use and Storage
Precautions: For external cosmetic use only. Avoid direct contact with eyes; in case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Storage: Store in a closed container, in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight, and at controlled temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.

Pleasant consistency, absorbs quickly, has hardly any smell of its own. I added a little jojoba oil to it.
Hi I prepared the cream as per the instructions and the first time it irritated my skin . I also put too much cream once on my skin,is that why?🤦🙂 I'm kinda new to making creams . I am waiting for your answer, thank you
When applied to the face it seems to have a revulsive effect, which lasts for about 30 minutes.It's not necessarily bothersome, the question is if it's ok to keep applying the cream, does the revulsive effect indicate incompatibility, or allergic reaction to the compounds? I mention that I have not added any other ingredients and the revulsive effect is only on the skin of the face and neck.

It is a very practical base, you can include many aqueous and oily goodies in it. If you get too runny a cream, you can thicken it with stearic acid and magnesium stearate, mixed in oils.
I like to use it for face creams and eye contour creams. I mix it with more fats and watery components than is recommended by Elemental, but it still comes out fine. For thickening I add stearic acid and magnesium stearate to the creams.
