Instead of apricot oil, you can use another oil with similar properties, such as macadamia, passion fruit or kukui oil. Natural fruit extracts are very mild and therefore suitable for use in a cosmetic lip care product. For personal use, you can try substituting an essential oil by first carrying out an allergy test in the elbow crease.

Hello Viorica, To make a firmer balm you can use a combination of murumuru butter and cocoa or totally replace murumuru butter with cocoa butter. Consider, that cocoa butter being more compact, will negatively affect the hardness of the balm at lower temperatures. Have an easy day!

Hello! What could I add to the conditioner so it doesn't melt when it's warmer outside or forgotten in my pants pocket? And could I use an essential oil instead of an aromatic one? And what could I replace apricot oil with?

Hello, Theoretically the proposed substitution can be made. Practically, however, the characteristic, earthy odor of cupuacu butter may adversely affect the feel of the lip balm.

Hello! It can be substituted, but being a more compact butter, we recommend changing the dosage as follows: cocoa butter 3 g and apricot oil 2.5 g.

Hello! Both zinc oxide and titanium paste can be added, a higher dosage of about 10% in total would be advisable. In this case, however, the balm will be whitish on the lips, so it would be necessary to add pigments.

Hello! You can use soy wax as a substitute, but you also need about 5-7% more candelilla wax to get the optimal hardness.

Hello! Instead of murumuru butter we recommend cocoa butter. You can increase the amount of wax to obtain a more compact balm.
