- preserves most of preparations containing an aqueous phase
- applications include creams, lotions, toners, serums, gels, shampoos, shower gels, baby care
- can be easily added directly to formulations
- very good compatibility with most ingredients used in cosmetics
- add to formulations at temperatures below 45°C
- check and adjust if necessary the pH after the addition of the preservative
- optimal pH range 2.0 – 7.0
